The new 05 Matrix features more depower and faster turning than its predecessor. Through innovations such as Single Strut this year's design is also focused on being lighter and easier to use. 2. Single Strut
Conventional kite technology uses "segmented struts" to create a curved profile. Single Struts use one-piece construction of the struts while maintaining a precise, shaped profile. This innovative construction makes the struts lighter and more durable.
3. Reflex Strut
Struts have more curvature on larger sized kites to create downward pressure on the trailing edge (like wings on Formula One cars) giving the kite extra stability.
4. Inflatable wingtips
Inflatable wingtips help the edge of the kite float on the water, aiding in relaunch. Inflatable wingtips also pack lighter and smaller, leaving room in your car for an extra friend.
