North Boards 2005

The Sumo 05

The Sumo 148 is a real all-round talent.The perfect board for light weight riders that want to get going even in a breeze.

Due to the thin ABS rails the board is always in control even throughout gusts. It is a great board for all beginners and intermediate riders that have a good feeling for boards and are on the lighter side with no need for extra volume.

The Sumo 155 is designed for slightly more advanced riders. Easy gliding and good grip in overpowered situations make this cruiser a great choice for intermediate riders who do not want a true beginner’s board.

The Sumo 155 has excellent upwind abilities. Heavy riders will enjoy riding this board in light wind conditions as well as in gusty wind.

All in all, the Sumo 155 is a perfect all-round board with very balanced riding properties

The Sumo162 is the perfect beginner board of the NKB range. The board is designed with a focus on early planing.

A fifth fin on the heelside provides the extra grip for water relaunch and helps bring the board on the desired course.

With its width of 43 cm the Sumo 162 is an excellent board for successful first attempts and fast learning, even in low wind conditions.

The Defender 05

The Defender M is designed for smaller and lighter riders. Despite the 38cm board width, the Defender M planes early and has very good upwind capabilities due to its sharp rails.

Optimum flex and Flex Tips make this small board very controllable even in high wind conditions.

The Medium Defender is great for carving and therefore very suitable for waveriding.

All in all a board with many qualities!

The Defender L is a fantastic allround board – particularly for somewhat heavier riders, who will be surprised by this board’s early planing even in light wind. Its round outline and Flex Tips combined with very thin rails provide very good control even in gusty winds.

The Large Defender's relatively short length allows you to explore new dimensions in riding without stretching you too far. This board is the perfect partner for gusty light wind areas.

The Dragon 05

This little beast will raise adrenaline levels in lightweight riders and high wind freaks.

Tuned with Flex Tips the Dragon Series has excellent brakes, even in overpowered situations, and keeps the rider firmly in control.

This is the allrounder of the Dragons.

The Dragon Medium's elaborate scoop rocker forgives mistakes in landing jumps, yet retains sufficient flexibility for switchstance and open the door to waveriding.

There is no wind limit on this board for heavy riders!

The Dragon Light Wind is the ultimate light wind board. Together with a largekite you can have fun on this board even at wind speeds that would normally only move sailing boats.

The relatively short board has excellent early planing, yet it is easy to control even when you're well powered up. The footstraps can be mounted off center tobring the heels closer to the edge for optimum edge control.

Very good and easy upwind abilities are the result of perfect harmony between scoop rocker and outline.

The Jamie Pro small

The rounder outline is a precondition for a maximum level of board control under rough conditions.

Lightweight riders and ladies have found their perfect boards thanks to the narrower stance position.

Jamie Pro Medium

Jaime's contest board is a true all-rounder, the genuine one-board solution for a large range of use.

* EXTREME POP
* VERY FAST
* 100% BOARD CONTROL
* POWER MOVES

Jamie Pro Large

The big tip area in combination with the straight outline provide for very easy planing. A huge range if use for heavier riders and a top light-wind board for medium-weight pilots.

The M2

The M2 is the perfect board for wave and freestyle. Will James' pro model is a combination of a bi-directional board with more straight outline and rocker lines, a mutant fin setup for the most radical bottom turns and the necessary grip in the rear foot for high jumps.

The small NKB TFC 3 cm fins in the nose area prevent the board from catching in the waves.

The tail is equipped with NKB Saber 6 cm fins ensuring extra pop and excellent qualities when going upwind in combination with its rectangular tail.

The 41cm wide M2 Large is Will's weapon for light winds. The big brother of the contest board is perfectly suited for heavier riders and/or less wind.

If you are looking for a board that also provides fun in the wave you must go for Will's M2 L.

* MUTATED MUTANT 60/40 CONCEPT
* WAVE AND FREESTYLE
* EXCELLENT CARVING
* SIZES: M / L

The Rocket fish 05

The idea for this first serial kitesurfing board was born in the waves off Oahu/Hawaii.

Our shaper John Amundson was searching for a kiteboard that both meets his demands as a surfer and allows new maneuvers in the waves.

The strong bending of the nose and Truster fins provide for narrow turns and re-entries into the wave are so easy thanks to its rounder-shaped rails.

Thanks to its relatively large buoyancy and excellent planing characteristics. When you opt for the Rocketfish, you can both choose a kite that is one size smaller and enjoy full wave action.

Each board size was especially developed for its individual range of application. At North Kiteboarding they are particularly happy about the result. As 100% passionate kiters they wanted to create the best weapons for their teamrider’s battles and the nicest toys for recreation.

They only use the best components for their boards. Tarifa’s successful G10 fins made by Bob of the Tarifa Fin Company (TFC) are still their first choice as standard fins for their boards. The new 3D footpads can now be moved even after initial positioning. Stance and footstrap position can be adapted to individual needs.
