Sail handling

LAZYJACK KITS:
Allow mainsails to be easily reefed and stowed by restraining the sail between lines running from the mast near the hounds, to the boom. These lines can be slackened whilst sailing to avoid restricting sail shape.
Ideal for use with either fully battened or conventional mainsails. These complete kits contain stainless steel plastic coated wires with blocks and fixing eyes attached. Sufficient high quality braided line, all fixings and fastenings together with comprehensive fitting instructions are also included.
A unique feature of our LazyJacks system is the soft plastic block cover which prevents sail chafe and enhances appearance.

CASCADE LAZYJACKS:
Are recommended for boats over 12m or where the"E" measurement exceeds 4m. This three legged system is adjusted from one line and is supplied in a complete kit as above.

SLAB REEFING KITS:
Supplied in two sizes and are complete with sufficient length of "T" track and end stops. The sliding blocks are positively locked by a spring loaded plunger mechanism to enable the correct sail shape to be maintained. Both sliders and tracks are finished in our new 'Spectro' grey anodised finish.
The smaller version is suitable for use on yachts up to 8.5m and the larger for yachts up to 12.0m. Full details in the the table below.

REEFING AND GOOSENECK HOOKS:
Manufactured from stainless steel these two types of hook are handy for use in conjunction with reefing kits for securing the tack of the mainsail.
Type 517 is supplied in pairs for mounting either side of boom and type 518 can be mounted above the gooseneck or used at stem head to accept a jib tack.

MAST STEPS: These low profile hinged mast steps are manufactured from bright polished stainless steel. Each step has a secure and positive hinged action and is rattle free. The foot area has a toothed surface and the profile turns up at the outboard end ensuring a firm and secure grip. Secure by four 5mm pop rivets and fit at 500mm spacing as shown in the diagram.
